Mitie conducted multiple trials of the Abbee Hive robotic vacuums across various sectors to test the efficiencies they could deliver to their cleaning technicians. This case study examines the results of these trials and showcases the fantastic results in terms of time saved, floor cleanliness and energy consumption.
Infection risk in care homes drops 41% thanks to robots.
In a UK Government funded trial, vacuum robots were used to clean the floors in 25 care homes and, the results showed that pathogen levels dropped by 41% in just 3 days. The trial, funded by Innovate UK as part of the fight against Covid-19 and provided by Abbee Ltd, used advanced ATP testing equipment, commercial robotic vacuums and antiviral surface cleaner.
To help combat COVID-19 TPLC will be providing robotic cleaning and sanitising solutions to care homes across the UK free of charge.
The Perfect Little Company (TPLC) has successfully secured funding from Innovate UK to improve the social distancing measures in the cleaning process, and to test the effectiveness of robotic cleaning solutions in reducing pathogens, in care homes.
